10 New RC Airplane Challenges


1. Indoor

Indoor flying is hard to conquer for cost and convenience. They are surprisingly sturdy, too. A good indoor trainer is usually my first recommendation when inquired about the easiest method to enter the hobby. The costs have dropped dramatically where these were 10 and even 5 years ago.

2. Rotary Wing

Give helicopters a shot. You know, those funny looking stuff that make every one of the noise. They require another group of skills than airplanes. The good ones get expensive, but a tiny trainer is not any higher priced than a jet trainer.

If you need to grab some attention on the field, scratch-build who you are a tricopter or quadcopter. In fact, this is something I have been messing around with myself.

3. Aerial Photography

A tricopter or quadcopter makes an excellent aerial photography platform. I once bought myself a cheap $50 micro camcorder and mounted it with a motorglider I had designed. The video quality was terrible, but I were built with a wonderful time shooting footage of me along with the surroundings. It was a hoot!

4. Gliders

Regardless of even tho it's a model or possibly a full-size sailplane, thermal soaring takes a lifetime to get down. Good equipment helps, nevertheless the rankings at the competition are just about driven by the capability in the pilots that competed.

5 Tips for Flying Your RC Airplane Better


The RC airplane is within the air, the hobbyist is moving it to and fro, but it seems to be missing something. Most intermediate and beginner flyers could use just a little help. So, thankfully there are several methods to improve the flight of the plane.

1. Failure to arrange is preparing to fail
